Noise control road

Doors and gates

Doors and gates serve as maintenance access points and emergency exit points in noise barriers. Standards define the quantity, size and spacing of such features. A colour scheme can be used to further facilitate recognition.

The door or gate to be chosen depends on the actual situation:

  • escape and service doors
to allow maintenance access and provide an escape route
  • service doors doble-leaf
    to enlarge the entrance/exit point
  • noise control swing gates
to allow access for emergency services

Noise control trelliswork

Artificial supports for climbers are the “green” option to achieve variety – especially along buildings where noise barriers are typically used to screen off private areas or greeneries.

Climbers bring nature onto the walls. A choice of trellis structures offers support, although some vegetation will grow even without any help.

Steel uprights are usually topped by a cap. By adding a touch of colour, these caps can catch the eye or fade into the background. Caps are sufficiently robust to withstand even extreme conditions.

Escape route signs

Orientation is of the essence after an accident that leaves people in a panic or state of shock. The new angular and flag-type signs provide security for road users.

Their special shape makes angular signs easy to read from both sides. Flag-type signs signalling emergency exits can be swivelled: hit by a load such as snow from snow clearance vehicles, they swivel and then return to their original position.

Safety rope

Rope harnesses are used on bridges. Forster has the requisite accessories.

Anti-graffiti coating

On request, Forster noise control systems come with a special layer of anti-graffiti coating that allows the multiple removing of spray paintings with commercial cleaning agents.
