Matching the existing structure
Existing sound-reflecting elements were replaced by highly absorbent aluminium panels and new transparent elements. The new part thus had to fit into the existing steel supports. In order to achieve this, Forster developed special noise screening panels that emulated the design of the noise barrier and allowed the client to avoid additional high-cost construction works. With the new structure using highly absorbent noise screening elements made of aluminium, the noise is absorbed rather than reflected, significantly reducing the sound level.
